Kanya Daley Krant has been a member of the faculty of the University of Santa Monica since 2000.  She has served as a Faculty Reader Leader in the First and Second Year class.

Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Pennsylvania, Kanya maintains a private practice in suburban Philadelphia.  Her specialties include women’s issues, assisting people in times of transition, mind-body awareness, and the role of stress on fertility.

Kanya received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Santa Monica in 1999.  She has completed post-graduate training in the relationship between stress and fertility, and the psychological factors associated with conception, and the treatment of depression associated with infertility.

Kanya has spent the last 15 years in the field of mind-body wellbeing, first as a Yoga Therapist, then as Stress Management Facilitator, and most recently as a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in infertility.  Kanya facilitated group trainings for the UCLA Mind Body Fertility Program and designed the Breast Cancer Support Program at Hackensack Medical Center.

She is a Clinical Member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Kanya lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with her husband Robert and their dogs Lulu and Benji.  She loves gardening, walking through the beautiful woods of Pennsylvania, knitting, and spending time with her family.
