Leah Kramer joined Faculty at the University of Santa Monica in 2009. She serves as a Faculty Reader Leader in the M.A. Program in Spiritual Psychology.

Leah is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Relationship Coach in private practice in La Jolla, Southern California. Leah works with women in midlife transition, highly sensitive artistic people, couples, and teenagers. She enjoys teaching her clients the viewing lens of spiritual psychology and empowers them to create more balanced lives, to practice self-nurturing, and to connect with their intuition. She also assists couples who want to create more satisfying, enhanced relationships.

Leah has been on staff at an agency specializing in counseling special education students and their families and is knowledgeable regarding the comprehensive treatment of ADHD in children and adults. She has also worked with the Family Advocacy program for the Navy and Marine Corp and is a highly trained advocate for healing with women who have been involved in domestic violence.

Leah holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Santa Monica in Santa Monica, California, and a BFA from Pratt Institute, New York. She is a certified mediator, has extensive training as a life coach, and completed specialized training in EMDR, an acclaimed and effective trauma recovery therapy. Leah enjoys working with cutting-edge Energy Psychology and holistic, natural health strategies to help clients effectively resolve mood and relationship issues.

Prior to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Leah was a direct marketing strategist, graphic designer, and creative director in her hometown, Boston, creating campaigns for a variety of national business-to-business and consumer accounts.

Leah lives in San Diego, California, with her husband, Kemp Kramer, two cockapoos, two cats, and several Koi fish. They have four children between them. Their three boys are in college, and their daughter will be off to college in 2010. Leah loves anything to do with the ocean, travel, is an avid reader for learning and discovery, loves music and singing, gardening, and entertaining friends and family.
