THE ADVANCED SPIRITUAL PSYCHOLOGY WORKSHOP -
LEARNING TO LIVE WITHIN A SPIRITUAL CONTEXT

Drs. Ron and Mary Hulnick, USM's President and Chief Academic Officer, stepped onto the USM Brentwood Ballroom stage on Friday evening to begin the Advanced Spiritual Psychology Workshop to the sounds of joyful and enthusiastic cheering from the 234 participants. The all-graduate crowd was clearly happy to be present and would reveal themselves completely ready.

Drs. Ron and Mary Hulnick shared that this was new territory for them as well -- that the information they would be sharing with the graduates was on the forefront of their 28 plus years of teaching Spiritual Psychology at USM. What was to unfold over the next two and a half days was truly remarkable, transformational, and sacred work. Spirit was clearly present, holding the class, volunteers, and facilitators in an energy field of Unconditional Loving, granting grace, clearing, healing, joy, freedom, compassion, and deep peace to all.

Part of the delight of coming together as a group was sharing the weekend with old friends, re-forging tight bonds with those who had journeyed together before in the USM classrooms, as well as having the experience of making new Soul-friends. The group got down to business quickly: setting their intentions, invoking their Inner Counselors, asking for Spirit's assistance, and experiencing the healing power of the Loving.

What also made this Workshop a unique experience was that the Assisting Team was comprised of a large percentage of USM faculty and staff. This dedicated group gave of themselves in service and really went the extra mile to provide a sacred space for the work to proceed.

And work, they did. The level of dedication that each person in their chosen role brought to their participation was truly exquisite. Those taking the workshop went deep, demonstrating willingness to surrender the small-self concerns, misinterpretations, and mis-identifications that were barriers to experiencing greater connection and expression of the Authentic Self. Those on the Assisting Team were there in their Loving, standing in their Authentic Selves, and ministering to all. And Ron and Mary were . . . well . . . Ron and Mary! What they brought forward as an advanced level of working in consciousness was truly magical, clear, and powerful. They shared many valuable keys, wisdom, and inspiration for the group in assisting all of us to let go of the false self and see life through Soul-Centered eyes.

This was such a valuable experience that the group clamored for more! "Will USM do this again?" was the question on everyone's lips. "If so, I'm there!" seemed to be the consensus. "The work I did in this weekend was some of the deepest and most profound I've ever experienced," shared one participant. "I feel that a heavy burden has been lifted off me, and I'm walking in the Light, hand-in-hand with God," remarked another.

What could be better than that? A deep sense of gratitude to USM, to themselves, and to Spirit was present as the Workshop completed. We went out into the world, ready to take our next steps with a sense of alignment and attunement with the highest good of all concerned. Ron's parting words were met with laughter and appreciation, "Remember to BE SMART AND USE YOUR USM SKILLS EARLY!"
