USM’s 2004 Ambassador of the Year: David Stember
USM's Ambassador of the Year, 2004: David Stember (’02).Imagine a school where more than 90% of new students first hear about that school from those who are presently enrolled in classes or are graduates of the programs. And they are so impressed by what they hear that they decide to apply to enroll in classes themselves. Well, that’s the simple truth about USM.
Those considering USM’s graduate programs in Spiritual Psychology as a next step are certainly motivated to apply for admission by what they hear. But they are motivated to an even greater degree by what they see in USM grads—their Presence, their level of authentic Self-expression, and the demonstration of unconditional loving and joy that are the result of living a Soul-Centered life.
Each year, USM acknowledges a graduate who is sharing what is available through USM in ways that inspire others to participate. This is not a paid position; in fact, this is not a position at all! This award simply acknowledges the powerful way one individual consistently shares about their USM experience with the result that others choose USM as their next step.
David Stember, USM Ambassador of the Year, 2004
Unlike any of the other award recipients at USM’s graduation, David had actually known for a couple of weeks that he was to be acknowledged as USM’s Ambassador of the Year. How was it that he knew and the others did not? The answer is that David needed to travel from the east coast to receive his award, as he lives in Vermont.
Can the University’s most successful Ambassador really be in Vermont? Absolutely! USM’s Programs in Spiritual Psychology are so much in demand that there are indeed many students willing to fly not only from out of state and from the east coast but from as far away as Australia, England, Germany, Canada, and even Norway. Quite simply, there is no other graduate institution like USM anywhere else in the world, and students are willing to travel in order to attend.
David, a graduate from the Class of 2002, was thrilled to be acknowledged as USM’s 2004 Ambassador of the Year. “I receive this award on behalf of all those Ambassadors who support USM—graduates from this year, from previous years, and from years to come,” David shared. “This is an award for a way of life that we have learned . . . to live from our hearts, and to experience the joy and beauty that that brings to our lives; to share from our hearts and to give that love away whenever possible. We have one very profound gift that we have to continue to share about—we know about a place, an actual geographic location on the planet, where if people come and participate fully, they get to change their lives profoundly, and the lives of those around them! Thank you so much!”
Thank you David, for your loving support of USM, and to all those who share about USM’s transformational programs. You truly are a gateway to Soul-Centered education!
Classes are sceduled for October 1-3 and November 5-7, 2004.
