Celebrating USM’s 2006
Ambassador of the Year

In introducing this year’s award recipient, Dr. Mary Hulnick, the University’s Academic Vice President, commented that “70% of those who come to the University find out about USM as the result of a Graduate or current student sharing about their experience.”

The University does indeed have a large number of graduate Ambassadors who love to share about their USM educational experience. This is not done in any formal way through the University. These are simply graduates who choose to share the value of their USM education and experience. And, in reality, most often it is the graduate’s way of being that communicates to those around them.

Time and again, prospective students share that, even more than what they hear from USM grads and students, it is what they see that inspires them—the levels of aliveness, joy, success, and loving that move them to learn more about USM’s graduate programs.

Christian, a 2003 Grad, has referred a high number of students who have completed the two-year Master’s Program in Spiritual Psychology.

He shared, “Thank you so much. This is an incredible honor to receive this award from a University for which I have such a profound respect. It is one of my greatest pleasures to share about USM with others. I have absolute confidence that they will have a fabulous, life-transforming experience if they choose to complete the USM Master’s Program!

“I hope that those of you who are here for the first time are starting to realize that this is not your average Grad school! My USM education is so infused in my being that it touches every area of my life: my work, my personal life, everywhere.”

He continued with a humorous warning: “Now when I judge myself, I forgive myself. When I judge others, I ask myself, ‘How is this a projection!’ There’s no escape!! So please, don’t do this unless you really want to change and really want to grow.”

In closing, Christian invited, “If there is anyone in your life that you love and that you believe wants to learn and grow, and to become a vehicle for a loving consciousness and wisdom, encourage them to come to USM—they’ll thank you for the rest of their lives! Thank you so very much!”

And the University thanks YOU, Christian!! We are truly blessed to have you as a part of our extended graduate community. Thank you for your consistent, enthusiastic, and loving support of USM!
