Carrie Hopkins Doubts has been a member of the staff for the University of Santa Monica since 1997. She is currently serving the University as Executive Liaison and Faculty Administrator. Her other roles include Faculty Project Report Reader and Education Administration Liaison for the Second Year. Prior to this, she was the Vice President of Education Administration and a founding member of USM's Executive Leadership Team.
Carrie received a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Psychology with an Emphasis in Consciousness, Health, and Healing from the University of Santa Monica in 1998 (the first graduating class). She has also received a Master of Spiritual Science from Peace Theological Seminary.
Carrie's background includes receiving her Bachelor of Arts with an Emphasis in Music from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. She also served as the Director of Admissions for the Thornton School for five years prior to her coming to USM, where she was responsible for Undergraduate and Graduate student recruitment, admissions, and scholarship budgeting and allocation.
Her career path also includes more than 20 years as a professional orchestral musician where she played the French horn in such locations as Cape Town, South Africa; Tel-Aviv, Israel; and the greater Los Angeles area. She now plays the French Horn in the Gaston Symphonic Band as well as the Celtic harp, which she does for her own enjoyment and upliftment.
Carrie lives in Belmont, North Carolina, with her husband Tom and two Doberman dogs, Cotton and Gracie. Carrie is also a member of the board for the Belmont Rotary Club.
