Connie Rawlings-Dritsas joined the USM adjunct faculty in 2001 and serves as a Project Report Reader for the Second Year class.
Connie holds a Master of Arts in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica and a Master of Science in Education, graduating with honors, from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. She received a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University.
Connie is the Founder and CEO of "Blossom Vinegars, LLC" (BV), a company that produces artisan vinegars made using raw, whole fruit–truly made from God's ingredients. Blossom Vinegars retails in fine Oregon grocery stores, specialty boutiques, hotels, and wineries. Blossom also sells retail and institutional sizes for chefs.
Blossom Vinegars is an active vendor in several farmers' markets including the Portland Farmers Market, which was voted the best farmers' market in the world by Delta Airlines. Receiving attention through write-ups in numerous newspapers, store publications, Blossom Vinegars has also been referenced on countless food blogs. Endorsed and demo-ed by Food Network star, Guy Fieri, and Celebrity Chef Brian Boitano, Blossom Vinegars has been used in the Iron Chef competition as well as several local cooking competitions. In 2007, Connie's story of Blossom Vinegars was published as a chapter in 100 Ways to Create Wealth by author Steve Chandler.
Prior to her more recent entrepreneurial adventures, Connie worked in business for over 20 years. Ten years were devoted to her own consulting firm, Total Diversity Management Consulting, where she worked with multi-national Fortune 500 and 100 companies, consulting on workplace issues of cross-culture, gender, race, sexual orientation, team, and spirituality. She continues to consult with select clients.
Before being self-employed, Connie worked for a multi-state financial services firm as Manager of Employee Relations and Vice President of Diversity. She developed strategic initiatives and was responsible for resolution of employee grievances and labor litigation. She also has worked in education developing award-winning community-based programs in Alaska and Oregon for people with severe disabilities.
Connie lives in Portland, Oregon, with her artist husband, John, and one indulged ancient kitty cat, Rhoda. She loves to officiate weddings, garden, and is an an active volunteer in her community.
