Dr. H. Ronald Hulnick has served as the President of the University of Santa Monica in Santa Monica, California, since 1983. He is responsible for directing all aspects of the University’s well-being including serving as a member of the University Board of Trustees, supervising and directing financial areas such as budget preparation, implementation and evaluation, long-range planning and fundraising, and overseeing all current and proposed university offerings. Together with the University’s Academic Vice President, Mary R. Hulnick, he has played a vital role in the development of the study and practice of Spiritual Psychology as taught at the University of Santa Monica. This unique educational approach called Soul-Centered Education is based on the assumption that we are not human beings who have a soul; we are souls having a human experience. This assumption evokes a radical paradigm shift that results in a psychological and educational process whose goal is to bring forth the beauty, wisdom, and compassion inherent in every human being. An exceptional blend of academic excellence and competency-based skill development, this educational format has made a significant contribution in the emerging field of Spiritual Psychology and has assisted graduates from all over the world in experiencing significant and lasting positive transformation in their lives.

In co-creative partnership with Dr. Mary R. Hulnick, Academic Vice President, Dr. Hulnick has provided leadership in designing, implementing, and supervising the University’s Graduate Degree Programs in Spiritual Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and Soul-Centered Leadership. He is actively involved in designing programs and seminars for the University, including USM’s newest Doctoral Programs in Spiritual Psychology with an Emphasis in Soul-Centered Leadership and Counseling Psychology with Emphasis in Spiritual Psychology.

Dr. Hulnick holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Educational Psychology and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. Licensed in the state of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Dr. Hulnick has been in private practice for over 25 years, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Dr. Hulnick has just completed Loyalty to Your Soul, a book on Spiritual Psychology. He has also authored the book, One Way to Know, and is the co-author with Dr. Mary R. Hulnick of Financial Freedom in Eight Minutes a Day, published in 1994 by Rodale Press.
