“The best description of our inherent nature is that we are, at our core, comprised of the energy we call Loving. So Spiritual Awakening is about becoming more and more aware of our nature as Loving beings. The irony is that the only way life on this earth transforms is when enough people transform themselves.”
H. Ronald Hulnick, Ph.D.,
“Soul-Centered education recognizes spiritual reality and begins with the assertion that, rather than human beings who have a Soul, we are Souls having a human experience. This Principle evokes a radical paradigm shift, which results in a psychological and educational process whose goal is to bring forth the Beauty, Wisdom, and Compassion inherent in every human being.”
Mary R. Hulnick, Ph.D.,
Executive Vice President

Hear from past participants …

This saved my marriage!

“My husband asked for a divorce. I didn’t want one, but he did. I showed up and used these Spiritual Psychology skills with him, as well as continually worked with my own issues, and came to a place of self-acceptance and trust. I remember the night we were going to tell our kids that Dad was moving out, he said, ‘Not tonight. We’ll do it tomorrow.’ Then he said the same the night after, and the night after that. A year-and-a-half later we were still married and moving in a direction I didn’t know could ever exist, and as the family I dreamed of!”
—Katy Kamen

From fear of homelessness to meaningful service.

“Several situations that occurred at the same time were extremely challenging in my life—the mental and physical health crisis of my husband, the ending of my marriage, and the complete loss of our fortune. I had young children at the time. I was running old insecurities. ‘What if there wouldn’t be enough? What if I became a statistic of homelessness?’
“This was a very intense period and I thanked God every day that I had my USM education. I shifted my view from a victim consciousness—that this was being done to me—to one of responsibility and that I had a role in making the situation better. I realized that I needed to leave the marriage and to take my children. I needed to also create a plan to go on with my life and create a career after being a stay-at-home mom for thirteen years. And having these wonderful skills, I now had to put them to good use, not only to serve myself but my children. The choices that I made, both internal and external choices, not only served myself and my children but ultimately helped me serve others who are in great need of healing and support and transformation in their own lives. And, that provides me with a huge sense of satisfaction and happiness.”
—Lisa Cypers-Kamen

Now I would say that I feel Love.

“The USM skills made a big difference. I found such a sense of peace and calm within me that I had not experienced before. Now I would say that I feel Love. And my responses are with Love, regardless of the particular way or situation that’s happening. It’s just a way of being.”
—Walter Werzowa

I uncovered a Limiting Belief of Unworthiness… and launched a new business.

“It was almost a year ago since I learned the skills of Spiritual Psychology and they are still really working within me. I would say the biggest win for me is that I was able to uncover a Limiting Belief of Unworthiness. And through that “uncovering” process, I was able to greatly, greatly expand my Loving. I practiced this idea of Love and Compassion and Acceptance. And through that there was something that “Melted” away. With my relationship with Money—I had a lot of fear. For years I tried every which way to break free of these fears around Money. And with the skills, it happened. On the practical level, the demonstration of it is that I launched a new business. And a lot of shifting is happening around that. Thank you so much!”

Working with these tools enabled a new reality for me.

“I was coming into work feeling dread. I knew something was amiss and that started a search. I thought my reasons for being at USM at the time was to find a new career path. But my work here had other plans for me. I became aware of a self-limiting belief in me: I felt I had to choose between doing well and doing good, for practical reasons. I realized this was really holding me up in my life. I chose in that moment to let that go. To make a long story shorter, in a few months, I was offered a new position—partner and executive creative director—of a firm in Washington, DC whose only mission it was was to use the tools of marketing and advertising to actually create positive social impact on the planet. I realized in that moment, it wasn’t about a career change for me. It was about redirecting the skills and the tools that I had learned over many years in the business towards a new direction of positive social impact on the planet. I recall one moment in that when I had the honor of working with then president-elect Obama on his call to service for the 2009 inaugural. I had a flashback to the process when I let go of that self-limiting belief and realized it was that moment working with the tools of Spiritual Psychology that had enabled this new reality for me.”
—Kirk Souder

My relationship with my mother is now a blessing.

“My mother and I had a very conflicted relationship. My mother was hyper-critical, very condemning, and judgmental—and a lot of that was directed toward me. As I started working with Spiritual Psychology, the results were tremendous. I started to reside in Acceptance and Loving. I started listening to her. I stopped matching energy and, as a result, my mom did the same thing. She began to be more Loving. My mother, for the first time in her life, was able to receive and take in Love in a way that she never allowed herself to do before. That to me has been the blessing.”
