Now more than ever before, people are seeking ways to make a meaningful difference in their lives—to serve their communities, families, and the world in ways that really matter.

The University of Santa Monica answers the call for an educational paradigm that moves beyond mere knowledge, and empowers participants to transform their consciousness so they can in turn transform their lives and their worlds.

USM has pioneered the integration of practical psychological techniques with powerful spiritual tools. This combination, along with USM’s experiential curriculum, empowers students to identify and remove self-limiting beliefs, transform their consciousness, and live more fully from the Authentic Self.

For over 30 years, USM's Grads have been using their transformation in consciousness to transform the worlds of business, education, parenting, government, medicine, psychology, and philanthropy—creating deeply meaningful careers, relationships, and lives.

What is Spiritual Psychology?

What if instead of humans having Spiritual experiences, we are Souls having human experiences? Watch as Dr. Ron Hulnick shares about the Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology and how living from this new paradigm can transform your inner and outer experience in everyday life.

Master’s Degree Program in Spiritual Psychology

The University of Santa Monica’s two-year M.A. Program in Spiritual Psychology explores the frontier where psychology meets spirituality. Spiritual Psychology, as experienced through Soul-Centered education, is heartfelt, practical, highly experiential, and transformational. Students learn to manifest greater success, meaning, purpose, and fulfillment both personally and professionally as they answer life’s three essential questions:

  1. Who am I?
  2. What is my purpose?
  3. How can I make a meaningful contribution in my world?

Consciousness, Health, and Healing Master's Degree Program (CHH)

Building on the two-year M.A. Program, this third year Program explores the relationships among Consciousness, Health, and Healing by examining how Radiant Heath and Well-Being are influenced both by unresolved patterns in consciousness as well as their subsequent healing. Radiant Health includes physical, mental, emotional, and unconscious as well as spiritual levels of health and well-being. Students further access and develop their inner knowing through consciously cultivating and strengthening their intuition, cultivating the healing consciousness, and experiencing a fuller expression of their Soul’s purpose.

Soul-Centered Professional Coaching Certificate Program (SCPC)

USM’s Six-Month Certificate Program in Soul-Centered Professional Coaching (SCPC) is a professional training Program for graduates of the M.A. Program in Spiritual Psychology designed to facilitate Authentic Success on both the Goal Line and the Soul Line of life. The coaching Program prepares facilitators of consciousness who are capable of assisting their clients in Co-Creating and experiencing greater success and fulfillment in their lives. The Program provides a solid foundation and practical training in business development and client acquisition and supports students in developing the discipline, tools, skills, consciousness, and Presence necessary to effectively coach others and to launch a successful coaching practice.

What Renowned Educators Say About USM

“Who I am is a USM graduate. I walk it, I talk it, I live it, I breathe it. If there’s anything in your heart that means something to you that you want to bring to the world because it matters to you, then USM is where you need to be. Don’t let anything stop you from coming here—not money, not time, not anything. This is not a place to fix yourself…USM is a place for you to step into the truth of who you are.”

—Iyanla Vanzant ('01)
New York Times Best-Selling Author Host: Iyanla, Fix My Life (OWN Network)

“These students, I know, are dedicated to being the answer to the soul’s only question, and to being that answer in the lives of all those whose lives they touch. And that's a three-word question, which this University seeks to answer. Or, better yet, does not seek to answer but seeks to provide the space from which the answer might emerge. And here is the three-word question: Who am I?”

—Neale Donald Walsch
New York Times Best-Selling Author Conversations with God Series

“The University of Santa Monica embodies the true meaning of education: to draw out from within. Academically rigorous, deeply healing, and structured so that working adults can attend over a series of weekends and weeklong summer sessions, the Programs in Spiritual Psychology are much needed wisdom training for our times.”
