Building and Location

The USM campus is centrally located in Santa Monica, California, in close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, parks, hotels, restaurants, shopping areas, international and local airports, and public transportation.

The University’s administrative offices and classrooms are located at 2107 Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica, California, on the corner of 21st Street & Wilshire Boulevard.

A parking pass for the nearby underground parking structure will be issued to all students upon request. The cost is included in student tuition.

Parking meters are located in front of the main entrance on both 22nd Street and Wilshire Blvd and suitable for short-term parking only. Nearby residential street parking is limited to two hours.

Smoking Policy

USM is a smoke-free campus.

A smoking area is located outside at the northwest corner of the main building where 21st Street and the alleyway intersect.

Service Animals

Only service animals are allowed inside the USM classrooms.


The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located 11.5 miles from the USM campus and accessible via taxi, shared shuttle van, and public transportation. For more information, click here.

Shared Airport Buses

SuperShuttle is one of many shared buses that runs between LAX and the USM Campus and offers a Discount Rate for USM Students. Use Discount Code: D49ER.

Public Buses

Rail & Subway

Douglas Park is 1/3 of a mile inland from campus along Wilshire Boulevard and offers grassy picnic areas, a playground, and duck ponds. Groups of USM students often choose to eat a picnic lunch here during their meal breaks.

Palisades Park is a 26.4-acre park in Santa Monica located 1.5 miles from Campus directly down Wilshire Blvd. The park is situated atop coastal sandstone bluffs and offers magnificent panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean with over 30 varieties of flora, a rose garden, sculptures, a Native American Totem Pole, historical relics, camera obscura, pétanque courts, restrooms, and picnic areas.
