Renée Adams

Renée Adams, J.D., M.A., began her conscious Spiritual journey early in life. She knew we are Spiritual Beings having a human experience from an early age, and she was determined to make the most of that awareness. She sought out and found her first spiritual teacher at age 11. Since then, Renée has been a student, a teacher, a coach, a guide, a healer, and a friend to many walking their human and Spiritual paths.

Renée is a true enthusiast of life, finding powerful, positive opportunities everywhere … including in even the most challenging situations. She has made this vivaciousness not just the foundation of her own life, but the cornerstone of how she works with clients and students. Her clients often refer to her as joyful, optimistic, and hopeful, offering a new perspective even in situations where one “should not be.” Her natural curiosity as a listener, combined with her mastery at sitting with people in Compassionate understanding have her humorously note that she often hears the words, “I’ve never told anyone this before.” Her greatest gift as a coach, friend, and teacher is her Loving Presence and support of those courageously embarking on the journey of their own Spiritual Path through life.

In more than 20 years, Renée has worked with hundreds of clients, across nearly every issue that life might present. While most of Renée’s work is done one on one, she also greatly enjoys teaching and facilitating groups, including in corporate settings. She is especially grateful to have co-created and offered a seminal seven-month Abundance and Grace Seminar with her husband Ed Adams. The offering brought forward a new method to assist individuals in understanding and embodying Spiritual Qualities in their lives. One participant described Renée as an example of “Unconditional Love in facilitation,” while another noted he would “gladly listen to anything she has to say” and committing to be Faculty Angel in any upcoming offering. Regardless of whether working one on one, with a group, or what the topic might be, Renée’s intention is the same—to enthusiastically support people in attuning to their Inner Wisdom and Higher Self, and in experiencing the Truth of who and what we truly are—Love. Renée is delighted and grateful to continue sharing the Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology developed by her mentors, friends, and founding USM faculty members Drs. Ron & Mary Hulnick.

A graduate of the groundbreaking Crossroads Institute three-year program, Renée first came to USM more than two decades ago. The moment she walked through the door, she felt she was home. She knew USM would be a place where she could hone both her natural gifts and abilities. Renée earned her Master’s in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica in 2005, and her M.A. in Spiritual Psychology, with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing in 2008. She has participated continuously in USM offerings, including Advanced Spiritual Psychology, the Couples’ Workshop, Advanced Ideal Scene Workshop, Financial Freedom, In God’s Living Room, the Infinity of Joy, and others. Renée also served for decades on the Reading and Assisting Teams of the Master’s Degree programs and online offerings of USM. She was a member of the Executive team on the USM staff for five years, working directly with Drs. Ron & Mary Hulnick. Prior to attending USM, Renée received her B.A. in English and Sociology from Western Michigan University, and her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University.

Renée is a musician, writer, and lover of nature. She lives in the South Bay of Los Angeles with her Beloved husband Ed (also a graduate and Faculty of USM) and their hummingbirds and kittens.
