If you have questions and need personalized support:

What is Spiritual Psychology?

For 50 years, we have provided students with opportunities for learning and applying the life-changing Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica.

Spiritual Psychology is the art and practice of Conscious Awakening to who we truly are.

An Experiential Approach to These 3 Key Questions

Who Am I?

Why Am I here? What is my purpose?

How can I make a more meaningful contribution?

Awakening into the Awareness of who you truly are and living your life from within that Awakened state is the essence of Spiritual Psychology.

Why This Program?

Today, the evolutionary tide on the planet is rising, and larger numbers of people are Awakening to the Awareness that they are Divine Beings having and using a human experience. The Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology provide context and tools for living into that Awareness. It is, in fact, our destiny to Awaken; for as we do so, we are actually Remembering that which is and always has been true.

This process of Awakening is not primarily a meditative process, though we encourage meditation as part of your spiritual practice. Awakening can be facilitated by engaging in an active process of releasing or dissolving the self-created barriers within your consciousness that are all that prevent you from knowing the Majesty of your Soul—from experientially knowing that you are the Presence of Love.

“Your task is not to seek for love
but to seek and find all the barriers
you’ve built against it,”

-A Course in Miracles

and to that we add,

“… and to dissolve them."

Do You Feel There’s More to Life, but Aren’t Sure Which Way to Go?

Deep down, you’ve always known there’s a greater potential within you—waiting to be fully realized. However, distractions, self-doubt, and life’s hurdles have held you back from embracing your true power and calling.

Does Any of This Sound Familiar?

  • You once held a dream close to your heart, but now you wonder if it’s too late to pursue it. As you watch others flourish, you may find yourself searching for direction in your career, health, or relationships.
  • Perhaps, from the outside, everything appears to be fine. Life moves forward, but you sense that something essential is still missing. An unexplained longing lingers within you—a subtle feeling that something isn’t quite right.
  • Despite following the conventional path toward success, you may feel a profound emptiness that remains unfulfilled and long for an illuminated path to fulfillment—a clear route to help you align with the life you truly desire.
  • While life may be good for you, you might feel unsure or lack the skills to effectively facilitate lasting transformation for others.

Living Authentically Begins With Releasing the Beliefs That No Longer Serve You

Douglas Park USM Gathering

You’re not just looking for change; you’re yearning to create a life filled with clarity, purpose, and deep fulfillment. And from this place of empowerment, you can share your gifts with the world and perhaps even facilitate powerful breakthroughs with others.

If any of this sounds like you, know that you are not alone. So many of us carry these patterns, and they leave us feeling stuck, unseen, and disconnected.

And that’s exactly why the Soul-Centered Living certificate program exists. If you want to learn how to live a more authentic, fulfilling life—and perhaps even become a facilitator of this life-changing work—we invite you to be a part of this awakening experience.

Testimonials From Students

This work is a Gift from God. Every class I have participated in has gifted me with invaluable tools to transcend my ego and transform my life in the most divine manner I ever could have imagined.

The greatest gift I ever gave myself was attending USM. There is no greater gift than awakening to the revelation of our essential nature, which is love.

The work at USM is simply transformational. It has changed my life. I live my life now as the Presence of Love, a Divine emanation on this journey of my soul.

Imagine What It Would Be Like to Fully Step Into Who You’re Meant to Be

To feel rooted in your own being, living a life that feels wholly aligned with your values and aspirations. You no longer abandon yourself. You prioritize your needs. You honor your intuition and heartfelt calling. You trust your Self and your attunement with Spirit. As you radiate this inner wholeness, the people and things you call in are reflections of this conscious partnership with yourself—deep, loving, and aligned.

Others begin to notice, and you attract people who want to work with you, drawn to the Peaceful, Loving Presence that you are. You wake up each morning with a deep sense of peace, confidence, and self-trust—knowing that you are enough exactly as you are.

Soul-Centered Experiential Education—USM Style

For 50 years, USM attracted students so deeply called to participate that they traveled great distances each month to Santa Monica, California—from Dubai, UAE; Oslo, Norway; Nairobi, Kenya; Sydney, Australia; Quito, Ecuador; and many more!

Now USM’s dynamic, Spirit-filled curriculum is delivered simultaneously in person (in Los Angeles) and online from the comfort of your home while still maintaining its experiential nature.

What’s been truly amazing is that students consistently report the Heart-to-Heart, Soul-to-Soul connection, and the powerful transmission of Love are just as vibrant as ever, whether attending in person or online.

What Is Soul-Centered Education?

The educational paradigm the University of Santa Monica brings forward is both radical and simple.

The transformed world you seek around you can only emerge by first transforming the world within you. That world is your own consciousness.

USM students and graduates have discovered their own answers to life’s essential questions and are using their transformation in consciousness to actively transform the worlds of business, medicine, media, coaching, counseling, law, education, family, and more.

This is a dynamic educational process designed to transmute the material surfacing within your own consciousness, catalyzing deep Healing and the revelation of the Authentic Self—your Soul Essence.

  • Effectively working within the mental and emotional levels of consciousness
  • Releasing limiting beliefs, misinterpretations of reality, and misidentifications in service to issue resolution
  • Moving forward on the Heartfelt dreams that matter most to you

The lab also provides exceptional opportunities for transcending the duality of the ego and experiencing the revelation and expression of the Authenticity of who you are—the Presence of Love.

CLASS FORMAT

Classes for this 10-month program are conducted live in a supportive educational environment.

Each weekend meets Saturday & Sunday with a shorter class in between.

The tenth class and culminating experience is a Five-Day Laboratory.

During each class, the facilitator talks are followed by three-person “trio” processes through which participants can directly apply and experience what’s presented, discovering for themselves the value and workability of the Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology.

During trios, students learn and practice 36 Soul-Centered Basic Skills—tools of Healing, Awakening, and enhancing interpersonal effectiveness. They also learn and practice powerful tools of Co-Creation.

Large group sharing follows each trio process during which students share their experiences from the trio and ask questions.

Sharing segments are opportunities to witness and experience Healing and to learn directly from Spiritual Psychology facilitators.

The class becomes a supportive community of like-minded and like-hearted individuals.

Spiritual Psychology, as experienced in the classroom, is heartfelt, relevant, practical, transformational—and most importantly, Spirit-inspired.

In plain English, it is life-changing.
